METHODS IN DANCE/MOVEMENT THERAPY I     FALL SEMESTER 2006

The main objective of this experiential course is to help students
understand principles through movement experiences. The course includes
lectures, discussion, movement improvisation, individual and group movement
experiences of dance therapy methods and structures, and movement
leadership experiences. Students will keep personal logs, and there will be
reading assignments, a midterm exam and a final paper. Graduate and
undergraduate credit is available through Empire State College. This course
meets the guidelines of the American Dance Therapy Association for
Alternate Route Training.
