The job opening at New Hanover Regional Medical Center  in Wilmington, NC is now official!

NHRMC is a 700- bed medical center in Wilmington NC, an ocean-side community of 90,000.  We are unique in having the Healing Arts Network, a group of paid creative arts therapists and holistic health practitioners who are part of care teams providing complementary therapeutic interventions throughout the hospital.

The position is salaried by and will serve  various units in Adult Health such as Neroscience, Nephrology, Progressive Intensive, Medical Surgery, Trauma, and Pulmonary.  The position also offers opportunities assess patients for referral to interventions other than Dance/Movement Therapy and to develop and coordinate volunter programs and staff-support activities.  

I am supported by administrators, physicians, nurses, and a terrific group of Healing Arts therapists and practitioners, both full-time and part-time.   I have thoroughly enjoyed my 7 years as a dance therapist at this facility.  I have a considerable amount of autonomy and flexibility in my work and receive 8 to 12 referrals daily.
