Lora,
I too have been interested in this for quite some time. In fact I almost
made it my theses until I realized what a huge project it would be. There
also weren't any Ipods at that time so it would have been much more
challenging. I think with the new technology it might not be as daunting a
task. My feeling is that many new d/mt's would LOVE such a great start to
there collection. I see it as a nice money maker for you and others to sell
the data on a chip that could be played in the ipod (or however it works).
Well, good luck with your endeavour and keep us all informed.

Hi Lori,
I think it's a great idea, and I hope you and some helpers will orchestrate
it. It would be a wonderful resource. You could organize it by music
qualities, but that might get very complicated and require more
sophisticated knowledge of music that many might have. Might it be easier to
organize by successful use with different populations?

Dear Orit and colleagues,
I think it would be wonderful to have a music database of sorts... maybe
even stored on the website, for members only?
I've actually been thinking about this for awhile. I've been wanting to
organize my music on my ipod into playlists according to KMP rhythms and
Laban efforts. It will be a huge undertaking over time, but I see value in
it for me. Would anyone else out there be interested in contributing to
and/or accessing a list organized in this fashion? We could pull from each
other's diverse music knowledge - and build our own libraries, organized by
specific music qualities.
Yes I know this will be a HUGE undertaking (which is why I haven't started!)
but I see it more as a one song at a time accumulation over the course of a
year or so.
For those of you seasoned dmts, I'm sure you probably know your music inside
and out for group purposes, but as a DTR just starting out, this method of
organization feels helpful to me.
Anyone else interested? Thoughts? Constructive criticism?
