Hello colleagues,
It has taken me awhile to decide and then locate what I wanted to say in
memory of Casey Slayton. Casey graduated under the present director of
Hahnemann Graduate program so, she was not 'my graduate'. I knew her
through her thesis and her interest in family therapy work. She began to
assist me during my intensive in family therapy presentations at Drexel as
well as other presentations. She engaged me with her ideas of how to work
with families in a way that was most unusual and most enlightening so--- I
knew this quote existed and I found it and let Linnaeus of the 18th century
speak for me: "A professor can never better distinguish himself in his work
than by encouraging a clever pupil, for the true discoverers are among
them - as comets amongst the stars".
