Subject: [Adta] ADTA 40th Anniversary Slide Show
Dear ADTA community,
During the conference, at the Breakfast Business meeting we celebrated 40
years of the ADTA by showing a 40th Anniversary slide show. technical
difficulties, unfortunately omitted the sound at the meeting. I've been
able to link the slide show to our ADTA website (at
http://www.adta.org/resources/conference.cfm) for all of you to view in
addition to linking the conference photos that many of you have already
seen. The slide show consists of early photos of Marian Chace, Mary
Whitehouse, Trudi Schoop, Irmgard Bartinieff, Elissa White, Miriam Berger,
Susan Kleinman and more... photos of past conferences, ADTA friends and
community, more recent photos of dance/movement therapists in action, and
ends with highlights of last year's movement choir facilitated by Marylee
Hardenbergh.
Enjoy! And again. Happy Birthday ADTA! We sure have come a long way in 40
years!

P.S. The public relations committee in collaboration with the Marian Chace
Foundation continues to work on our photo project to digitally archive
photos including those of dance/movement therapy pioneers to be incorporated
in the archives at Lincoln Center Library in New York. In addition, the
photos will provide more up to date images of dance/movement therapists in
action for publicity purposes. Visual aids that provide an image of the
essence of dance/movement therapy are valuable and important resources that
can be useful to all of us. If you are in, have taken, or know of some
photos, digital images, or negatives that can be added to this resource bank
and archives for the ADTA, please contact me.
It does not matter what condition the photos are in. We will work to
digitally restore them. Please include a signed photo release, the
photographer's name, names of those in the photo (if appropriate), date and
location of photo, and context of photo (i.e., ADTA conference workshop,
D/mt session, D/mt workshop/presentation, inservice, etc.). All photos will
be returned if requested.
