Dear All:

I am so sad to learn of Casey's tragic accident this morning. I am already
praying for her family and friends on this day of her memorial service. I
hired Casey for her first job out of Hahnemann and enjoyed working with her
at the Community Mental Health Center for Gloucester County. She did impact
us all in a very positive way. I have very fond memories of working with her
and serving with her on the PA ADTA board. She was so intelligent and smart
about dance movement therapy and had many unique talents to share. She was
vivacious and candid with the clients we worked with. I remember one day
when she first graduated and started, she wore black leather pants to work.
I laughed and called her a "rockstar movement therapist". She laughed and
responded "yeah, I didn't know if they were professional or not, so I just
thought I'd see!" She always incorporated redirection so well and had great
insight. She was very fun and alive to work with and very quick to accept
feedback about her movement groups and work. I am so saddened to think of
all the people who will miss the opportunity to work with her as a
therapist. Our community of dance movement therapists has lost a wonderful
colleague and her absence will be felt. I am grateful to have known and
worked with her in her initial entrance to our field and for all the groups
we co-led and all the patients whose lives she moved through.
Thank you for sharing in this grief with me and all who knew Casey.
With love,
Jenna (Dalley) Heise, MA, ADTR
