NEW YORK WORKSHOP CONTEMPLATIVE DANCE
Contact Eileen Kelly: 212-868-2837 or eileen at thresholdnyc.com

Contemplative Dance is a simple yet profound practice of moving
meditation,
also known as Authentic Movement. It works with the innate intelligence
of
the body, psyche and imagination, and the drive for wholeness and
integration. We pay attention to the body and invite it to lead into
movement or stillness, suspending self-criticism and cultivating
awareness.

Alton Wasson, MDiv, STM, co-directs Contemplative Dance Workshops and
Trainings. He has been a chaplain at Yale, a professor at Prescott
College,
and faculty at the Center for Depth Psychology and Jungian Studies. He
has a
private counseling practice and consults with corporations and
educational
institutions on diversity and holistic education. He also leads trips
honoring the spirit of place in Italy, Greece and the Grand Canyon.
