Kevin will read portions of their book, speak about what inspired them,
their writing and design process, and personally sign each copy you

introduction to the weekend workshop on Saturday and Sunday.
Weekend Workshop Saturday & Sunday , October 14-15 10-6
pm $300
Learn about structure using experiential anatomy. Let the story of
biological evolution organize and enhance your perception of
body, you’re your orientation to space and ground. Find flow in
movement, and harvest your body’s gravity reflexes.
This workshop is about recovering the feeling of fluidity, and how body
flow liberates us from tension, restriction, and movement challenges.
Caryn and Kevin incorporate breath, movement, sound, imagination, and
science to inspire us to find our fluid, natural body. They also
include support of experiential anatomy, the playful grace of the
animal body, and material from the Tonic Function approach to Rolfing
Movement. The Tonic Function approach shows us how the moment before
movement predicts the quality of our action before we make a movement.
Our pre-movement shows us our relationship to gravity and shapes our
orientation and perception. Meaningful changes in movement quality
become possible by addressing our tonic function, giving us access to
perceptual and coordinative structures that live beneath our conscious
awareness. Using the capacity to live more fully in somatic awareness
Caryn and Kevin propose using this capacity into the challenge of human
relationship and the meanings we make.
This book and workshop are great for people exploring more effective
ways to move in their own bodies, and body workers exploring movement
with others.
