I spent a few minutes on the So You Think You Can Dance forum this morning--I
saw skdmt was there too. I used their search engine to try and find the threads
that everyone has posted on and could only find two posts.

I think their software is not robust enough. The conversations move fast and so
posts sink down. It looks to me as though it is a "seize the moment" space--I
recommend that we go and throw a comment up now and then but there will not be
a conversation or ongoing discussion about the filed over there!

Then I went to Facebook to see what was there--this is a social networking site.
Someone has set up a group over there called American Dance Therapy Association,
which I joined. Facebook has been a space for high school and college kids and
recently opened up to us geezers. So the ADTA group is young--lots of the
Columbia College students are there, it appears.

Facebook is a little more time consuming to join (and if, like me, you have
highschool and college kids in your family, they will be FREAKED that you have
joined--my students and my kids are still dealing with it!). But it is also a
more robust piece of software and easier to search within than that forum.

Go to http://www.facebook.com

Set up your account

Search for the adta group: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2209175161

You can see my profile, which is public (not all are) once you have
joined--warning--I use this page for some of my grassroots political
networking, so be prepared for some political messaging too!

I think this is a really good way to answer questions and build a younger
constituency. There is also a group there for Laban Movement Analysis:
