Hi everyone--
I want to highly recommend this opportunity to meet and learn from
world-class master Joseph Chilton-Pearce. He wrote The Crack In The
Cosmic Egg many years ago which was groundbreaking at the time and has
written numerous other astonishing and integrative books since then. He
must be almost 90 years old and his wisdom is rare if not unique. I saw
him speak in Brooklyn about 25 years ago. He had done research on the
increasing medicalization of birth in Japan and showed how the rates of
cerebral palsy and other difficulties climbed along with the changes in
medical practice. I cried through most of the presentation--it was
deeply touching and intellectually illuminating. Please attend this
event if you possibly can--it will be unforgettable.
Also, he's very involved with an incredible group, Touch The Future,
that is doing restorative work and education about childhood,
spirituality, attachment, the brain and--Lora for you in response to
your recent inquiry on this listserv, also on the effects of adoption,
including adoption at birth. Touch The Future is involved with adapting
peak psychology to regular folks and everyday life with emphasis on
parenting. It's a wonderful web site and they have a good occasional
e-zine, see www.ttfuture.org.
