[Adta] Non-Verbal Risk Assment Tools?

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

I am interviewing tomorrow for a job as one of a team of Designated Crisis
Responders (DCRs) for the mental health center in the county where I live.
My job will be to independently determine whether an individual is an
imminent danger to self or others (suicide/homicide), or incapable of caring
for self (incapacity), and then deciding whether or not to involuntarily
hospitalize that person based on my assessment. These assessments usually
take place in hospital ERs or police stations - often alcohol or other drugs
are involved. Part of what I would hope to offer to the team I work with is
an increased knowledge of non-verbal processes in the assessment process.
Does anyone know of any assessment tools or relevant research which
addresses specific movement indicators for any of the above mentioned
risks/behaviors? Any thoughts on the issue would be most welcome.

Thanks so much,

Lisa
