Title:  Associate Professor, Expressive Therapies

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

The Expressive Therapies Division of Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts invites applicants for a full-time position of Associate Professor.  The title for this position is Dance/Movement Therapy Coordinator.  Reporting to the Division Director, the DMT Coordinator will advise students, sustain an academic program of study, mentor faculty, chair committees, and demonstrate leadership.

 

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

 

Applicants must have an earned doctoral degree, registration (ADTR) in Dance/Movement Therapy, LMHC licensure or equivalent, a minimum of five years of academic experience, a minimum of ten years of clinical experience and a record of scholarly work. Associate Professor preferred with experience in doctoral-level teaching and ability to teach related courses in Expressive Therapies.

 

The graduate program in Expressive Therapies at Lesley University offers specializations in art therapy, dance therapy, music therapy, and intermodal therapy. The ideal candidate will have graduate teaching experience and clinical practice with diverse populations, in addition to having personal involvement in creative/artistic work.
