Dear Friends & Colleagues,
I wanted to share this information about an upcoming workshop that can
deeply support and enhance the work of dance therapy and somatic &
verbal psychotherapies as well as dance performance and quality of
life, through a heightened awareness and sensitive engagement with
breath principles. The instructor, Juerg Roffler, is a gifted
practitioner and master teacher who offers courses internationally and
founded the Middendorf Breath Center here in the Bay area. He has been
co-creating BreathDance performances with a choreographer in the
Berkeley Art Museum and other innovative settings and feels a kindred
spirit with dance/movement therapists! He is offering two full
scholarships for the upcoming winter course.
Blessings for nourishing and peaceful Holidays!

breathdance
a breathexperience workshop
for movement, dance and psycho-therapists
at the Middendorf Institute for Breathexperience Jan. 4-8
Learn how allowing breath to come and go on its own and other
breathexperience
Principles ameliorate patterns in movement and behavior, showing true
personal
expression that is effortless and comfortable. Sense how breath initiates,
infuses and forms all experience, all movements, and all expression.
BREATHE, MOVE, DANCE, BE WITHOUT EFFORT
Breathexperience connects us with an intelligence embodied within
ourselves, showing us the path to ease and balance in our lives. As we
allow breath to initiate movements, we increasingly access the
core/essence/center of ourselves, expressing the truth of who we are and
letting that truth be seen by others.
By participating in this workshop, you will experience how
breathexperience principles can be applied in therapy, bringing more
ease, presence, and flow to experience, movement and expression for both
therapist and client.
Breathexperience is a somatic healing practice and art of living based
on the autonomic breath. Introduced to the U.S. by Ilse Middendorf and
Juerg Roffler and the Middendorf Institute for Breathexperience in San
Francisco and Berkeley in the1980s, Ilses work is internationally
recognized as one of the leading practices in the somatic healing arts.
Cost of the 5-day workshop is $380.
