Subject: Research question on DMT and architecture -
India
To: cberrol at sbcglobal.net
Dear Cynthia Berrol,
Please allow me to introduce myself.
My name is tushara aravindan. i am a student of
Architecture in my 5th year, studying in MIT (Manipal
Institute of Technology)manipal, India.
I am doing a research for my thesis project which is a
Dance Therapy Centre i am proposing in a place called
bangalore in india. i happened to contact some
professional dance therapists practising in india and
they suggested me your association.
My research for designing a dance therapy centre is
focused on translating movement styles into an
architectural language thereby creating spatial themes
for an efficient dance therapy centre. since there are
no such centres existing in india i wanted to know
what such centres are like in the world elsewhere.
It would be extremely helpful for my academic purpose
if you could provide me with some efficient resource
material that contains :
(1) Achitectural standards that are to be followed
while building a dance therapy centre.
(2) all the Spatial requirements of a full fleged
dance therapy centre
(3) it would also be nice if you could send me
Photographs of architectural spaces in dance therapy
centres as it will help me in my design analysis.
all the information i need is purely only for academic
purpose.
If you could suggest me any other reference materials,
contact persons,
websites related to architecture and dance therapy or
the like , it would be very genuine of you.
You may email me on tushara_tushara at yahoo.com
Thank You very much.
Hoping for a positive response from you.
Have a nice day.
Tushara Aravindan.
