Hello Everyone,
This is to announce an one day (9AM-6:40PM) intensive :
Establishing a CAT Private Practice -Saturday March 3rd
This special seminar will provide information on issues important to
starting and maintaining a private practice in creative arts therapy.
(This includes independent contract work as well.) It will offer an
overview, and explore starting up, conducting outreach that leads to
independent contracts, locating and securing space, time management
skills, marketing, referrals, cultivating community relationships,
reimbursement, CPT codes, fee scales, tax accounting as a private
practitioner, population-specific issues, the benefits and drawbacks
and more. For the new professional, thinking about private practice/
independent contractor work in the future, as well as clinicians who
want to expand existing practices.
Seminar will be led by Andrea Frisch-Hara, MA,MT-BC,LCAT & Gary
Hara, MA,CGP,MT-BC,LCAT creative arts therapists who have over 40
years of combined clinical/supervisory experience and maintain a
successful private practice.
Seminar will be held at the Frisch-Hara Music Therapy Studio
located at a convenient upper east side location.
Space will be restricted to a small group to insure personal
attention. Advanced registration required.
This seminar is approved for continuing education credits by the
Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT) & National Board of
Certified Counselors (NBCC).
Advanced registration required: $150 if check and registration
received by February 26,2007; $165 if check and registration received
by March 1, 2007; $180 after that, as space allows.
