Dear ADTA friends and colleagues,
We are pleased to announce The 11th Annual Expressive Arts Therapy
Harvest Symposium 2007 November 1st - 5th 2007. Please find below a

The Expressive Arts Therapy Harvest Symposium is an annual gathering
of therapists, educators, artists and students who join together to
explore new approaches to the arts in a supportive community setting.
The Harvest Symposium 2007 is sponsored by Tamalpa Institute, a
member of the International Network of Expressive Arts Therapy
Training Centers, composed of seventeen institutes around the world,
all affiliated with the The European Graduate School, Switzerland.
Network first sponsored an annual Easter Symposium in Europe twenty
years ago. As the field of the expressive arts developed and grew, an
annual Harvest Symposium was initiated in North America. Teachers at
the Symposium donate their time and efforts without compensation in
order to exchange their work and explore new possibilities for
creative expression.
We will gather on Thursday evening, November 1, 2007, for an
introduction to the Symposium and a meeting of all participants and
teachers. Each of the three following days begins with an hour of
Community Art. Participants spend mornings and afternoons in one of
five group workshops, exploring multiple artistic modalities with ten
internationally known expressive arts professionals. Friday evening
we will enjoy community performances with artists G. Soto Hoffman,
Paolo Knill, Elizabeth McKim among others, and Saturday we will host
a panel of educators in the field of expressive arts: Sally Atkins,
Kate Donohue, Steve and Ellen Levine, Natalie Rogers and Jack Weller.
Sunday night will be Open Performance Night, with participants
offering work that has come out of their Symposium experiences.
Monday morning will culminate the Symposium with a community dance/
ritual, The Earth Run, led by internationally acclaimed dance pioneer
Anna Halprin, now in her 87th year.
Come join us for five days of creative transformation through the arts!
