[Adta] publishing

Andrea, yes publishing is important and it is a great undertaking to create
an article from one's thesis work. Most journals like the American Journal
of Dance Therapy or The Arts in Psychotherapy require that an article be a
unique contribution that has not been published elsewhere. This forces
authors to carefully consider where to submit a manuscript, as the same
manuscript cannot be submitted multiple times to multiple journals -- only
once to one journal. Journals also have "guidelines" for authors that are
published in the journal. For a relatively small profession, I think we
have a lot of authors, and hopefully you will also hear from others on this.
Robyn Cruz (past Co-Editor, AJDT; current Editor-in-Chief, The Arts in
Psychotherapy).
