KMP will teach you how to look at movement rhythms and shapes and understand
the expression of personality, relational and psychological domains.

This course is approved for CE for the ADTA.  ADTA is an approved provider
for the National Board of Certified Counselors (Provider #5739). 20 CEs are
available for this workshop.
This course meets the qualifications for 20 hours of continuing education
credit for MFTs and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of
Behavioral Sciences (Provider #3888).

Course Description:  The Kestenberg Movement Profile (KMP), is a
comprehensive movement assessment tool that detects the presence of both
healthy and dysfunctional movement patterns in individuals of all ages.  It
traces developmentally-based patterns throughout the life span and can be
used to describe personality, relational and psychological domains.
Dance/movement therapists and those trained in the KMP can apply its
concepts in their clinical/educational work by designing treatment plans and
implementing appropriate interventions based on the individual's movement
portrait.  Goals include helping the individual assess healthy choices and
coping skills through accessing strengths and broadening them.

This course can be applied to 20 hours of movement observation/assessment
for the ADTA Alternate Route ­ DTR Level Registry.
