Dear Nava,
Thought the following assessment tool would be
something to include in your list.
Warm Regards,
Cynthia Berrol

In the early 1990's, Stephanie Katiz and I designed
the Functional Assessment of Movement and Perception
(FAMP), a quantitative standardized assessment
instrument to be used with people surviving traumatic
brain injuries. When we received the federal grant
from the Administration on Aging for a research
intervention with older adults, surviving neurologic
insult in 1994, we adapted the FAMP to be used with
older individuals. Statistical measurements included
to gather data on validity and reliability reliable
revealed a stable instrument. The project was funded,
in part by the ADTA.

The Functional Assessment of Movement and Perception
(FAMP) was designed to identify movement factors that
effect functional motor performance. The information
is intended to assist in the development of
appropriate treatment goals and objectives.
Based on a developmental model, items are categorized
according to perceptual and sensori-perceptual-motor
abilities. They are organized hierarchically
according to developmental sequences. Items were
intentionally formulated to be consistent with
problems common to individuals with neurotrauma. The
identified categories include: Body Scheme,
Perceptual Motor Abilities, Rhythmic Discrimination,
Motor Planning, Timed Motor Activity and Delayed
Repetition (i.e., motor memory).
