This is to let you know that I am teaching a course on Dance/Movement
Therapy and the Treatment of Eating Disorders during February.
Participants will see how looking at the healing inherent in dance
relates to the assessment and treatment of eating disorders. Since I run
dance/movement therapy groups for adolescent boys and girls and for
adult men and women at Unity Hospital System's Eating Disorders Partial
Hospitalization Program, seminar members will be able to consider actual
cases and current approaches to trreatment. Unity's Program is the core
of Western New York's Eating Disorders Center for Excellence.

If you are interested intaking the course, please know that you may pay
in installments if you make arrangements to do so by Friday, February 2.
You may also pay by credit card. Here are some of the details:

Dance/Movement Therapy and the Treatment of Eating Disorders
Danielle Fraenkel, Ph.D., ADTR, NCC, LCAT, LMHC
Saturday, February 17 - Friday, February 23 (45 hours)

Dance/movement therapists, counselors and other health professionals
learn how to apply dance/movement therapy's body of knowledge to the
assessment and treatment of eating disorders. Methods grounded in
LivingDance^(TM), the basic principles of dance/movement therapy, and
the Kestenberg Movement Profile address body image, identity
development, locus of control, affect, and the confusion between
physical and emotional hunger. Other topics include the use of music,
metaphor, and the relational model in the treatment of eating disorders.

You can find information regarding housing and fees on the registration
page: http://www.kinections.com/registration.php ofour web site. You
will see that our students prefer staying at the Executive Manor.

    * Executive Manor, an apartment building with fully furnished studio
and one bedroom apartments. Prices are about the same as the East
Avenue Inn, however, you do not have to pay hotel tax because it
is not a motel. The kitchenette is fully equipped. Executive
Manor, two or three blocks closer to Kinections, has become our
students' favorite place to stay. It is at 28 N. Goodman Street.
