[Adta] CD of music about eating disorders

I thought that some of you might be interested in a CD of music written by
someone who has experienced an eating disorder & accompanying symptoms.
Jackie Heyen, a talented singer & songwriter, who plans on becoming a music
therapist, speaks openly about her eating disorder through her songs.

I use her CD often in my presentations to educate other professionals about
eating disorders. In fact, one of her songs, "Show me the way to my soul"
was MY inspiration for a series of presentations I did for eating disorder
professionals in June.

 

Jackie shares her music with us at Renfrew in a variety of ways & she will
be doing part of the closing for the Renfrew Foundation Conference in
November in Philadelphia that we will be creating soon. I will also be a
part of that along with our assistant clinical director, Dr. Jen Nardozzi.
