LECTURER IN DANCE MOVEMENT THERAPY (DMT)
Up To £40,801 pa incl (pro-rata)
Part-time (0.4fte)
New Cross, London
Based in the Department of Professional and Community Education you
will join a team of Arts Therapy educators in a thriving subject area
that offers introductory, qualifying, post-qualification programmes
and short courses for Dance Movement Therapists and Art Therapists,
committed to the pursuit of creativity and excellence in teaching and
research.
You will assist in leading and managing the Dance Movement Therapy
programmes (including the MA), co-ordinate and manage clinical
placements, undertake admissions duties, teach, and develop the MA
programme.
You should have significant experience as a Dance Movement Therapist
within a multi-disciplinary team. You should have the ability to
undertake clinical supervision, lectures, seminars, tutorials and
experiential Dance Movement Therapy groups. In addition you will
also have proven organisational skills and a good level of computer
literacy.
You will have a degree or equivalent qualification, a professionally
recognised Postgraduate Diploma/MA in Dance Movement Therapy and be a
Senior Registered Dance Movement Therapist. Evidence of continuing
professional development and experience of teaching at MA level are
essential.
