In response to Beate's request, I'm posting the announcement that I listed
last month about the Psychology Today article (see below).  Several have
contacted me about writing letters to the editor and author. and many have.
so I would still encourage this.  Let me know if you have any questions
about this process.  Follow up is very important PR!!

Dear All,

 

Thanks to Deniz Oktay, PR Committee Member, for discovering a very timely
article posted in the April 2007 issue in Psychology Today about Dance
Therapy!! Although the article's focus is on the physiological benefits of
dance, and less focus on the psychotherapeutic nature of the work, it is
wonderful exposure and parts of it are nicely articulated.  Dance/movement
therapists Miriam Berger, Robyn Flaum Cruz, and Gabrielle Kaufman are all
quoted in the article.  

 

Along with others, I will be following up with Elizabeth Svoboda, the
freelance author and the editor of Psychology Today.  If you are also
interested in doing so, please contact me. Often times, multiple letters to
the editor and the author are great ways for increased press coverage and a
great way for continued clarity to be done!!  The article "Spin Control:
