Masks, Metaphors and Metamorphosis: Beginning your Drama Therapy Journey
A Three day intensive workshop at Antioch University New England in Keene,
NH
September 8-10, 2007
Faculty: Kim Burden, LCMHC, ADTR, RDT/BCT, CP/PAT
Mario Cossa, MA, TEP, RDT/MT, CAWT
Lore Caldwell, LCMHC, NCC, ATR, RDT
This workshop is intended for those wishing to explore the field of drama
therapy as a possible career and for those wishing to enhance their
professional or educational development. No previous drama therapy
experience is necessary. Participants will be introduced to a variety of
approaches in drama therapy, becoming familiar with its application to a
variety of populations. This workshop is unique in that all three
facilitators will be present throughout all three days of the intensive,
offering a team approach that will enhance learning, containment and
possibilities for exploration. The facilitators are current and past
faculty at Antioch and were all students of the late Penny Lewis, who
founded the dance/movement therapy program at Antioch. They would like to
dedicate this new collaborative effort to Pennys memory.
This course will fulfill 18 contact hours toward the core required
Principles of Drama Therapy Course for Drama Therapy alternative training
route students. CEUs will be available for licensed counselors, as well as
training hours for those pursuing psychodrama certification.
