DANCE/MOVEMENT THERAPIST PERSPECTIVES ON THERAPEUTIC RESPONSES TO
SEXUALLY EXPLICATE MOVEMENT IN ADOLESCENTS
GROUP DANCE/MOVEMENT THERAPY SESSIONS

Hello my name is Christina Cruz, as partial requirement for my Masters
Degree in dance/movement therapy at Drexel University; I am currently
conducting a study that examines therapist views and responses to
sexually explicit movements in group sessions with adolescents. Ellen
Schelly Hill is the principle investigator for this study and my
advisor.

I invite you to a complete an online survey regarding your experience
as a dance/movement therapist. This is an anonymous survey that should
not take longer than 25 minutes to complete. Your honest responses
will be valued.

The purpose of this study is to understand how dance/movement
therapists view, respond to, and address the occurrence of sexually
explicit movement behavior in adolescent group dance/movement therapy
groups. Survey questions will request demographic information and
inquire about the therapist’s views, responses, and interventions re:
sexually explicit movement in group DMT sessions and related areas.

Selection criteria:
1. ADTR, DTR, or current student in a dance/movement therapy program
2. Experience working with adolescents in group DMT sessions within the
past seven (7) years.
3. Participants must be between the ages of 21 to 75 years of age.

Please do not use any identifying information of yourself or clients.
By submitting the survey you are consenting to participation but may
quit the survey at any time and your responses will be excluded. If
you feel uncomfortable addressing any of the survey questions, it is
your right as the participant to decline answering. There is the
unlikely potential risk of unwarranted privacy intrusion with any form
of electronic communication. If you are interested in receiving
results from this research please send an email to dmt.ccruz at gmail.com.
