It has been exciting to read all of the postings
regarding neuroscience and our historic and current
relationships to other fields. Each of your postings
has strengthened my personal interest in an
interdisciplinary approach towards DMT, how the
translation of lexicon will affect other fields and
inversely how other fields when translated inform us
of our own work.

If the body is a system of individualized and
interrelated systems then perhaps that is the same in
fields of study, practice and research. Relating with
others may inform us and require us to grow in
complexity and flexibility towards a more coherent
experience of even our own interests and knowledge.

Currently I am a graduate student at Columbia College
Chicago with only my thesis to tackle. For my thesis
research I am interviewing Neuroscientists
specifically involved in research, teaching and the
practice of interpersonal neurobiology as coined by
Daniel Siegel. I am interested in creating space for a
cross-field conversation on the neurological
significance of movement as it relates to the practice
of dance/movement therapy and broader psychotherapy.
It is my continual goal to interface our knowledge and
questions as a field with the knowledge and questions
of neuroscience, culture and development.

To be successful in this venture I would like to open
up my thesis research to your suggestions of
interviewees, questions for interviews, concerns and
support.

Very exciting times, as always,

Megan Ross, MA candidate, GLCMA
