Hi Sandra, Lenore, et al,
I looked at the research page of the ADTA website, and noticed that an article and book chapter that I wrote were both missing. One was a book chapter on working with children with autism (in a public school system). The chapter is called: "Treating Children with Autism in a Public School System", in the book: Dance and Other Expressive Art Therapies- When Words are Not Enough; edited by Fran Levy (with J. Fried & F. Leventhal); published by Routledge in 1995. The article I co-authored (with my colleague Anat Ziv) is about working with severely emotionally disturbed children in a short-term inpatient psychiatric unit. The article is called: "Moving Toward Cohesion: Group Dance/Movement Therapy with Children in Psychiatry"; published in The Arts in Psychotherapy Journal in 2006.
  Hope this is helpful.

  Hi Sandra,
I don't know if I recall anyone collecting article per se, but there is
a project going on to collect references, to be made into bibliographies
on certain subjects. However, autism didn't turn out to be one of them.
There is an older bibliography on DMT with children that has a section
on autism and other developmental disorders. It is posted on the ADTA
research webpage. http://www.adta.org/resources/research.cfm

Subject: [Adta] autism and movement

Hello everyone.

I heard a while back that someone was collecting articles on autism and
movement therapy. I would like to read that literature, and their
collection sounded like a good place to start. Does anyone have
suggestions for me as to where I might get this information?
Thanks, Sandra Holloway, MA.
