Lisa and others,
I'm keeping track of everyone that responds to the request I put out this
morning regarding giving and receiving supervision at the conference. I
will compile all the material and send out an official email regarding which
ADTRs will be doing which supervision and when/where shortly. You may then
begin signing up for the time slots ahead of the conference date to ensure
your slot as one of four persons per small group. You will then need to pay
when you arrive on Thursday to secure your slot $25.00 donation to ADTA.
Payments can be made at the time of registration.
Gloria has suggested that there is a possibility of getting room space. We
must move fast, however, because Gloria needs this information in time for
her meeting this Thursday with the hotel. Please continue to respond to my
emails asap so we can get room space. I especially need to hear back from
any ADTR willing to provide supervision with what day/time you can do along
with your "specialty population" your group will focus on.
We will market this through emailing on the list serve and I'll also request
that chapter presidents forward the final email message along to their
chapter members so those who are not on the list serve can receive this
information too. MALs can help with this too.
Again, thanks to Lora for getting this moving. I've already got three
supervisors lined up and a couple of people interested in receiving
supervision. I think this is a great start!!! Let's keep in going.
Regards,
Stacey Hurst, LCPC, ADTR, GLCMA

I am a DTR working toward becoming an ADTR. I am interested in receiving
group supervision at the conference. I work with children with attachment
disorder, foster care and adoption. I am also wondering if there are any
DMT's who work with this population and are interested in getting together
to discuss treatment and their work. I will be arriving in NY on Monday
9/24, and my schedule is pretty open. Thanks.

Stacey and all,
(I think this just came to me so I'm forwarding for the listserve to read.)
Stacey has generously agreed to organize the supervision again this year. We
didn't have a huge response last year but I know I benefited from my group
supervision with Donna Newman-Bluestein. If you are interested in either
donating an hour of your time to supervise... or you're interested in
receiving group supervision at the bargain rate of $25... please contact
Stacey Hurst and she will coordinate.
Thanks so much Stacey!!!

Thought I'd resend the email myself since the one Lora forwarded was really
hard to read...
Hi Lora,
I'm so glad you decided to bring this up again. I think I attempted to
coordinate this last year. I have held off organizing this because I was
concerned that space in the hotel would be limited. I believe last year it
was catch as ketch can and for the most part it flopped. The year before we
had more people interested. We were also able to coordinate rooms to use
with days and times, but it was put together last minute.
I would like to ask if there are ADTRs that are willing to donate time
(usually one hour) to a small group (no more than four) with each DTR/ADTR
paying $25.00 for a donation. My hope is that the donation could be
earmarked for the certification process that's coming down the pike. I'll
have to find out. Please contact both me and the list serve and let us know
what your "specialty" is and when you think you'll be able to have the
supervision session.
I also would like to ask how many of you would like to get some
supervision???? I'm happy to coordinate this again and would be willing to
post sign up sheets by the registration tables. The only thing is that the
ADTR will have to figure out where to hold the supervision unless Gloria
thinks there's a way to get space last minute.
Thanks again for stoking the fire Lora!!!
Let's hear from you if you'd like to participate in this event-

Hello ADTRs and DTRs seeking supervision! At last year's conference a
handful of ADTRs generously donated their time to do an hour or 90 minutes
of group supervision for DTRs. As a DTR who participated, I found that very
helpful. Is this something that could again be offered in NY? Last year
those who were willing announced it on the listserve and then posted a sign
up sheet with time, place, specialization in the common area. I believe
last year the fee was $25 (?) and it was donated by the ADTRs to the Marion
Chace Foundation (or was it the ADTA?)
Anyone else, DTR or ADTR, interested in participating this year?
Lora Wilson, MA, DTR
